Nick Lachey Comments About Jessica’s Weight Situation

Unfortunately forJessica Simpson, there’s not much else going on this week in the news. So the story about her recent weight gain is the topic of conversation everywhere!

It seems everyone wants to put in their two sense about it, and thankfully for Jess, most people are siding with her.

The latest person to weigh in on the situation is her ex-husband Nick Lachey. He spoke to Extra last night about it, and was shocked about what a huge headline it’s become.

He said, “I can’t believe it’s this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it. I’m never ceased to be amazed by people’s reactions to things.”

He went on to pass along some nice words for Jessica, saying, “I wish her nothing but the best and I hope she’s happy — whatever size that comes in.”

Well, even though Jessica and Nick don’t seem to have any sort of relationship with each other anymore, at least they’re still on good terms. And if you thought Nick’s statement was nice, just listen to what the rest of Hollywood has to say! At least Jess can sleep tonight knowing that a lot of people in the biz have her back!

Jessica Responds to Fat Comments

It’s officially Jessica Simpson week. Here’s a recap if you haven’t been keeping up:

Jessica showed off some new curves during the 99.9 KIIS Country Chili Cook off in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Her weight gave made headlines across the globe.

Her former trainer said he thinks she looks “sexy” and “healthy.” Her sister Ashlee came to her defense saying she’s “completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight” and claims her sister is still a size 2. Uh…more like size 2 times 4.

After staying mum for a few days, Jess is finally responding to the reports of her weight gain.

“I’m not fat,” Jess confessed to a pal. “Going from a size 2 to a size 8, that’s not fat. If I weren’t Jessica Simpson, no one would care.”

She’s right about one thing, if she wasn’t Jessica Simpson, we wouldn’t care. But that’s the whole point. The media questions celebrities when they lose too much weight and criticizes them when the gain a few pounds.

Is Tony Romo Cheating On Jessica Simpson?

Its safe to say Jessica Simpson is not having the best week ever.

She’s hasn’t even had a chance to swallow the bad press she’s been getting for her recent weight gain, and now she has to deal with infidelity reports.

Star magazine is reporting that Jess’ quarterback beau Tony Romo cheated on her while she was away–at her own house!

The magazine is claiming that hours after Jessica boarded a flight on January 16, Tony went to LA hotspot My House with Laguna Beach’s Stephen Colletti and Entourage star Kevin Connolly.

After the party he invited guests “back to my place,” to keep the party going. While guests mingled downstairs, Tony was enjoying his own private party — “with a longhaired, olive-skinned cutie” upstairs.

“Everyone was talking about it downstairs,” dishes the source. “The girls were saying it was so wrong and shady of Tony to cheat on Jessica — especially in her place! I just can’t believe he would hook up with another woman at his own girlfriend’s house.”

The story is a little hard to swallow. Jess and Tony seem like such a happy couple, but it must be true when they say there’s always trouble in paradise.

Ashlee Simpson Defends Jessica’s Weight Gain

Talk about a little weight gain getting blown out of proportion. Jessica Simpson put on a little holiday weight and the whole world went nuts.

Jess showed off a fuller figure during Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff on Sunday in Pembroke Pines, Fla., and she’s literally been the talk of the town (and country) all week.

Her former personal trainer has already come to her defense, claiming she looks “sexy” and “healthy” and now sister Ashlee Simpson is blasting her critics on Myspace Celebrity . Here’s what she had to say:

Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy…

I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it.

How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?
